My father in law so desires to read my posts that he is taking it upon himself to give me a topic...daily, or bi-daily, or somewhat regularly anyway. Today's topic: If I had a full tank of gas and a week off and Travis by my side, what would I do? Several suggestions were given, but I don't want them to cloud my thinking so I'm not going to look back to list them for you all (you can just read his reply from my last post). I'm adding another item in my bag for the week: funds.
I would spend a day skiing. I would spend a day shopping. I would spend a day in downtown Denver going to the Tattered Cover bookstore and Starbucks and all the fun little shops there. I would spend the night in a hotel in Downtown Denver. Maybe 2 or 3 nights. I've just always wanted to stay there. I love downtowns in large cities. It's just so full of energy and so full of people and stories and memories just waiting to happen. I would spend a day at home working on things that I am using to try to get at my creative self, such as crocheting, sewing, baking, stuff like that (I'm going to assume that I had time to make sure my house was clean before my time off started, because otherwise I would waste a day cleaning because it would drive me crazy not to). I would spend a couple of afternoons with friends - couples that Trav and I could both hang with since we don't get to very often anymore. I would cook dinners for all of us and play games with them. And I would probably spend a couple of mornings having coffee with girlfriends, since I don't get to do that very often either. I think that pretty much covers it. I didn't take time to make this into an itinerary because it's not real. But these are the things I would put into my week off with Travis and a full tank of gas (and funds).
