I DON'T WANT TO WRITE ANY MORE RESEARCH PAPERS!
But I already didn't do one this semester. And it came at a worse time in my life than the laziness of right now. So I can't lose 200 points in a class and still get an A... Does it matter? Hm.
Of course, when school is over for real I'll have to move out and face "the world". For the first time ever, I have a little sadness in leaving home. Isn't that ironic? As much as I gripe about Emporia (and as much as this town smells HORRIBLY), there will be people that I don't want to leave behind. I can even list a couple that I'd pack up and take to Maine with me.
Poor saps. Although one of them would be my grandmother, and I'm pretty sure she's required to like me.
Hey, I went to Oklahoma last weekend. That was adventurous. I feel well-traveled in the south now, between that and the trip to Tennessee. :)
Things carry on... This is the last YLC event. Hard to believe. Should be interesting. Especially if I can get it together enough to look at my module or plan my reflections. Always a good idea to have some idea what you're teaching before getting up in front of the kids.
Oh, and let me tell you about what happened to me today. Typical Sarah story.
So last night, before Bible study with Ariel and Cindy, I was supposed to pick up this girl named Denise. (I don't know her, but she's an ex-YLCer and friends with Bre and Mac, etc. And she needs a place to be. So cool.) I went out to my car to start it, and it didn't unlock correctly. Weird. Guess what else it didn't do? TURN OVER, because I apparently left the headlights on all day. So I had to call Cindy to come rescue me and pick up Denise. Welcome to Bible study with the disorganized folks. Then, after lunch today, Cindy brought her van over to try and jump the Mazda... Only neither of our jumper cables were long enough! (Is that really possible?) And Cindy had to be at work in five minutes, and I was supposed to be at the middle school play in ten. So we went back to her house, and I was going to borrow one of their cars while Kurt, her husband, took the other one to his work meeting. So I get the keys, and then Kurt gets into his car which didn't TURN OVER. Awesome. I ended up taking Kurt all around E-town to his office and eventually the meeting (in his car, mind you) and then going to the middle school play about five minutes late. Tacky. He finally found some cables to jump my car, and then we put it on a charger thing. Sort of took up all my graduation announcement addressing time.
Conveniently, because I don't really want to send them. :)
Ok, back to the research. No, really.
