So anyways, the big new news is that I might be stage managing this month. "What's that?" you say. "Si," say I. Not set in stone because we're still working out the details on rehearsal time, and I have night classes/youth group with which to deal. HOWEVER.
The student organization branch of my coffeehouse ("my" used rather loosely here) has gotten permission to have a show in the blackbox, a reader's theatre/performance art bit based on a book called "In a Word". So it's an opportunity for that neat theatre/faith intersection thing.
If not stage managing, probably at least lightboarding or something equally enjoyable. More to come later on the entire subject.
Also, I started a drama team for the Emporia FBC youth group as of Wednesday night... And it went really well! We had hard-core Bible discussion over our first skit, and then in two weeks we'll meet again to have hard-core rehearsal. I'm pumped.
But the kids are more pumped, which is cool to see. One of them must have come home and gone straight to the computer to email me. Ah, wonderful.
Everyone should take only 12 credit hours. It's like a whole new world. :)
