Late Night Lab

Mar 27, 2006 23:10

It's hard to find a stopping point when there's so much to do, and so much you could be doing if you just didn't need to sleep.

I need to write a proposition to get $$$ to spend on first year students-- to encourage friendships and acquaintances outside of courses, via the old snack-laden-study-break, as facilitated by more senior graduate students.

:) It will wait until the morning.

Tonight, I did sundry lab things that I always do. Hopefully I'll get results!!!

Earlier today, I tried my hand at cooking, dropping 2 eggs into boiling water. You would think this is foolproof, but no. Check that the eggs are good by floating them in cold water beforehand-- if they sink, they are ok. If they are bad, and you put them into boiling water, a smelly and painful reaction will occur where a rotten egg will explode on you and burn you in the process. Not to mention eggshell shrapnel hurling toward you!

So instead of explosive culinary arts, Joy made dindin. :) Thanks sweetie.

:) It's been a long road, but after 7 weeks of dieting, I finally have a ticker tape to show how I'm doing. :)

That's it for now-- I'm keeping the linear regressions to myself.
