So maybe I can't completely resist posting on Livejournal.
Here have a quick update on my life:
I'm about a month into my second semester of Uni. I'm taking two Psych classes, Data and Stats, and Calculus (after barely passing it in first semester). I was all gung ho about it in the first week or so, when there was not much work that needed to be done. And then I got apathetic (being sick didn't help) and have not enough motivation now that I actually have to do work.
I feel like I might be getting sick again. I've had a sore throat all weekend. If I am, it will be the 4th time since Easter, and the second time this semester. Not fun. I'm hoping that my other colds/flus have given me enough of an immunity to fight this one off and I won't get any worse than I currently am.
I've been reading a lot lately. Way more than I actually have time for, but I feel very addicted to books at the moment and I love that feeling. I'm currently reading The Strain (a vampire horror thriller) which is pretty good. But I've also started reading the Artemis Fowl books because of a uni friend, and rereading some old favourites, like Harry Potter and the Tomorrow series, in anticipation of the movies.
I haven't been watching much TV, seeing many movies, not even on DVD or my laptop. I did go see Inception, which I really enjoyed, but I don't feel I enjoyed it as much as everyone else. There were things about it I didn't like and do not think it is the single greatest movie made in the past ten years like pretty much everyone you come across seems to think.
As for TV, I'm watching City Homicide and Rescue Special Ops. Love them both. (Not Rush yet, because I forgot to tape an episode while I was at work, and am trying to find the time to catch up on them all)
And I've been listening to a lot of music lately. Ipods are great for long bus trips. Currently on the playlist are: Bon Iver, Megan Washington, Sarah Blasko, Paul Dempsey, Sia, Laura Marling, and Birds of Tokyo. Especially the last one. The new album came out a few weeks ago, and some of the songs (Plans, Wild at Heart) have been on repeat an awful amount.
