The Future Is Wasted On Some People

I just finished reading 'Invisible Monsters' by Chuck Palahniuk I decided to review it since it really made me think. I don't normally review anything to bare with me.

Alright, so I'm not even really going to try and explain the plot of the book. It's a little confusing, or at least it was for me. It jumps around A LOT one paragraph will be set in present time. one two weeks in the past. one eight years in the past. then back to present. The whole book is like that. A lot of the characters turn out to be completely different then how you imagined. The whole story twists and turns and mutates so many time you sort of lose track.

The message I got though was this. The world we live in today has robbed us of any true individuality. Every part of you is made up of parts of other people, your parents, your friends, your teachers, your priest. We're all products. It's by embracing that fact that we can become whoever we want to be. You can make up your own life to live.

It's way deeper than that and I'm doing a shitty job at explaining it. You should go and buy the book and read it yourself!
