(no subject)
I am doomed to say the words "It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Ah well.
So, a LOT has been happening around here in the last while, but it was mostly all work work work work and more work. Everybody else on our team of 4 went on leave (okay, one guy resigned, but the nett effect is the same) over Christmas, leaving dear old moi alone for 4 weeks. And BOY, has it ever been a busy 4 weeks. Tch.
This is the point at which I have to enquire... How do you do those neat snippy things that spare everybody else the long rambling bits...? Okay, I'll do us all a favour and try not to ramble. :P
At work they have turned level -1 of the parking garage into a suburb of hell. The aircon in our computer room has become inadequate, and for an interim measure they've put in units that vent the computer room's heat into -1 of the parking garage. Yeah. All humid 38'C of it.
It's like walking into soup, when you go down there to find your car.
On the positive side, that's sure gonna be nice and toasty in winter.... ;-)
In other news, my sister (anthia) has acquired a boyfriend, but I guess you already read about that. Makes things a bit lonely here when she's not around. Eh. He seems nice enough. And he makes anthia absolutely deliriously happy, which is always a plus in my book.
Busy reading Stephen Donaldson (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever). No, it's not the first time. Last time was about 10 years ago. Let me get back to it :)
