saving lives is gross and bloody and full of vomit and poo
I am so tired. We ordered pizza. It got there at 4am. We got to take a few bites at 6am. We each got ONE smoke break.
Blood transfusion/anemic dog is alive. Blocked kitty is doing well. Dog who bit off her own tail will be fine after surgery. Dog who ate panty-hose (or rubber tubing or something) is waking up from surgery- no necrotic intestines, but had some bowel resectioning for other reasons. Bleeding from the ass dog #1 is in bad shape but is still alive. Bleeding from the ass dog #2 will be ok. Kitty who fell 8 stories is fine- just painful. Diabetic crisis kitty is regulating.
Nobody died tonight. Good night at work, all things considered. I really do love my job. Even though I came home with blood stains all over my scrubs. Even though I came home to 3 piles of barf from my loving kitties. Oops..make that 4 piles of barf- thanks Shrimp..oh, wait..5 piles. Sketeton is trying to help me clean up by eating it.
