So it's been a while. But don't feel bad, I come bearing pictures! And lots of them!
So first of all, Jonathan and I drove to Lake County to spend Christmas with my parents since I didn't think they'd make it to Denver this year.
We actually made an effort to get up early in the mornings and walk down to the coffee shop, which is something very new, but awesome.
Christmas candles we've had ever since I can remember.
Sorry. There weren't any pictures of my parents together that were any good. ;)
THEN, I was off to Denver for a few days to see my extended family and get to know these people:
That's my brother's fiance and her daughter Zayden.
I also got to spend time with my grandfather. He's nicer than he looks here.
It had just snowed a TON and I have a few airport horror stories.
But it was worth it to see the cutest niece ever:
And awesomely enough, my parents were able to make it as a Christmas present from my aunt.
After all that, I flew back to the Bay Area and readied myself for New Years! My church had organized a singles retreat to Silver Spur up by Sonora and we had a GREAT time.
The ride up was a little long...
But when we got there, we played the new Wii...
Studied the Word together, lead by Pastor Josh...
And sang songs, lead by Drew.
Some people went to the snow,
But I stayed behind and bonded with Jonathan.
Yay!
Hope that wasn't too many pictures for you (or for my photobucket account)!
In other news, school has started. :P My schedule looks like this:
Tuesday
Bio 3006 - Insects and Humans ~ 10-11:50 am
Art - Visual Literacy ~ 12-2:50 pm
Painting
Thursday
Bio ~ 10-11:50 am
Art - Jr/Sr Seminar ~ 12-2:50 pm
Painting
So I'm enrolled in 4 classes, but I'm only attending 3. Painting II is on Mondays and Wednesdays, and since I have to work on those days, I'm doing that class as Independent Study, basically. Hopefully, I'll have enough time to get enough painting done to pass the class and get myself back into the painting world. We'll see.
I'm also working 3 out of the 4 days I'm not in school (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) and taking on another ministry at church: the Organizing-All-The-Music-Into-Folders-To-And-From-The-Music-Filing-Cabinet-For-Each-Sunday-Service Ministry. I like it. Organization is fun!
