So... today might be the big day. I was having regular contractions yesterday but they weren't really painful -- it was difficult to really tell when the started and stopped. We debated about having Aaron put in for a sub and stay home today, but ultimately decided against it since there wasn't really a good reason to head to the hospital yet. I had a short and restless night of sleep and woke up this morning with much more painful contractions.
Today's plan is for Aaron to teach his morning classes and get a sub for the afternoon ones. I'm supposed to head to the hospital when the contractions are 3-5 minutes apart. Right now, they're 4-8 minutes apart. And they hurt! I can definitely tell when they start and end. At my check up this past Monday, I was already 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. My midwife was surprised I had not gone into labor already.
So things are getting closer. Hopefully within the next day or so, our little one will be here!
