The kids were not into taking pictures this evening. I can't blame them. Once they were in the costumes, they thought we were ready to go. I put them on a bit early so that I could get some pictures while it was still daylight. The plan backfired, and I basically have a bunch of pictures of distracted children. Oh well, I tried. Perhaps I'll put them back in their costumes another day and have another go at it. Perhaps not!
Anyway, trick or treating was super fun! Weston was all into it. He was so adorable with his "Fick or Feats" and "Tank yous!" Amelia was a pro this year. She knew exactly what to do and how to do it. She was polite and got lots of compliments on her costume (her wings lit up and they really looked cool in the dark). The weather was PERFECT. A little cool, even. I ended up putting a long sleeved shirt under Amelia's costume so she kept warm enough.
The kids came home with a crap load of candy. They were allowed two pieces each when we got home. Weston was unhappy stopping at two and bawled for a good 15 minutes for his bucket. He was overtired, too, so that didn't help matters. Now everyone is in bed and quiet. Not sure if they're all sleeping, but quiet is good enough for me.
