fun in the sun
The beach trip went amazingly well. Amelia was so well behaved. She didn't run off, try to get in the water without an adult, throw tantrums or misbehave for a second. I am kind of thinking two might be her best age yet. I am so proud of my girl. She had such a great time.
Weston was happy all day, too, but holy crap, I could not keep him from putting fist fulls of sand in his mouth. Seriously, I feel like he's going to get a bowel obstruction from the amount of sand he ate. Not really, but it was a lot of sand.
My cousin's daughter, Katelynn, just cut her two bottom teeth yesterday so she was kind of cranky for a minute when we got there, but then she took a nice long nap and woke up happy.
I think we all had a good time, kids and adults alike. I know I did. We actually spent 5.5 hours there between the beach/pool/tiki hut by the pool. Pina colada? Yes, please! I don't know if I can remember a time I had both of my kids out in a public place for more than a couple hours. I really think we should do this again some time!

Finally made it back to the pool....it was a serious hike! And with four bags and a 20lbs baby in tow, I was TIRED by the time we got back
So I bought a yummy pina colada
Katelynn and I hung out at the tiki hut while her parents went to disassemble the cabana and gather their stuff & Toni had my kids in the pool floating around
