Little Things Produce Big Effects

Today I realize the magnitude of the stupid little errors we do in life.
That every minuet thing has even a consequence in the flow of life.
Here my Dad sits with lung cancer everyday one cigarette affected his body. Now he suffers the consequences, the pain, the sacredness of being alive the next day just because of a few puffs of a cigarette eased him.
He will endure many hardships, costly surgery and face death for this stupid habit.
He will lose his children, his chance to walk his daughter down the aisle, to see his grandchildren, he will lose the memories, the happiness of the holidays, all this just for smoking, which he didn't even do that much.
Not only is he affected by his stupid actions to smoke but everyone.
His daughter, his son will never be the same, their dearly loved dad will not be there anymore to change their oil, or fix the things that are broken.
He will not be there to make kababs every Saturday.
He will not call his son every night to make sure he is ok.
He will not be there to set an example of how men should be like for his daughter.
He will not be there to bicker and fight with his wife.
She will never be able to sleep by his side again.
She will not have anyone to go to grocery shopping with, no husband that will cook better than her.
All there will be left is an empty hole in all their lives.
All this was produced by taking puffs of a cigarette.
An action that at the time seems harmless and innocent becomes a sadness that will reach many people, make many people sad and lonely.
It will leave behind a brother that will also become depressed and withdrawn.
A daughter that can never adequately express to her children how amazing her father was.
Cancer will slowly deteriorate a man, make him meek to its own power,
make a man that was true to his principals, who was kind and caring, forgiving and useful to become someone who sits in a hospital slowly getting injected with poison,
slowly killing himself to kill the cancer, the powerful one that has taken over.
While everyone waits and prays for a miracle or a breakthrough.
