I began training my replacement at SMART this week. It turns out that this was a bad week at SMART to be trying to train someone. The mold issue in our office has yet to be resolved, we are pretty sure we're going to have to move the office but we don't know where or when, and we finally got a decision about how they will divide the SMART territory now that Victoria has resigned. I found it's difficult to train someone when you can't answer some of the basic questions they have. Yesterday we went into the office for about two hours and were not in the mold affected area yet when I returned home and for the rest of the day sounded like I had the plague with as bad of a cough as I had. So while they don't believe the mold in the office is dangerous beyond simply being a mold it seems that I am extra sensitive to those environmental conditions.
I am still working from home and enjoying it. It is difficult, again, to train someone when you're not in the work environment and can't give them a sense of what a normal day was like. My classes this session are interesting. I am taking beginning Tai-chi which has felt really good. I have been enjoying that. I am also taking an anthropology class on Arab countries taught by a woman from Yemen and I think that her perspective is a good one.
I have noticed that every day Lucien's behavior has improved a little and he listens a little better every day. Last night we gamed and he was content to chew on his chew at our feet under the table and not cause trouble. It was nice that he wasn't trying to cause trouble. I have really enjoyed having a puppy but he has cut into our sleep quite a bit. We went to bed late last night, about 10:30, and then I got up with him at 3:30 to go outside. Those hurdles still remain. Morgan has created an online photo album of Lucien which I will post the link for as soon as I figure out how. Then all of you can see his cuteness. I need to get some pictures of him playing in the hose when I water plants. He likes the wand attachment and tried to attack the water coming out. Only to get himself soaking wet and looking pathetic and cute.
