Maddie's Big Biopsy
Maddie is my baby girl. She and I have "been together" for five years now and though in hindsight I had no business getting a dog at the time, she forced me to grow up like no one else could have - not my parents, not any man, no one. It wasn't through any protestation of any misdeeds on my part, but rather unearned adoration on her part that led to a gradual softening on my end. It's a long story that I could no way articulate, much less in the small post I set out to put here, but Maddie has an abnormal growth on the back of what can only be called her "elbow." We had it looked at on Saturday (that's my dad's knee in the picture there). The NCSU vet school got back to us much quicker than anticipated, hopefully, and the cells are benign - it is simply a large cyst. I am one happy girl.
