Happy 2007 to all my LJ friends! Hope this year brings you all much happiness, continued love, and new adventures!

I thought I would take some time this morning to reflect on 2006.  It was a great year for us, filled with many changes and fun.

- We made several home improvements on our house in Spokane, which ultimately allowed the house to sell in under a month.

- Patrick was promoted to Assistant Director of Admissions at EWU in March, which was a huge career jump for him.

- In March we took a trip to Oahu, Hawaii and had such a wonderful time!
March 29th - I am in love with this place! It is absolutely beautiful! As we flew into Honolulu I was staring out the window in awe. When we landed and stepped off the plane we were greeted with warmth. Oh, how I have missed 80 degree weather! Oahu is such a pretty place. I love the trees and the flowers. I love the ocean and the sand and the sun and the surfers. I love the city and all the neat shops. I love how people seem so energetic and active which I haven't seen anywhere in a really long time, but this feeling completely inspires me.

-  Taught a great group of kindergartners that challenged me everyday, but made me come home everyday (or almost everyday) with a smile on my face.

-  Easter 2006 I convinced Patrick to dye Easter eggs with me this year. We are never to old to dye Easter eggs, right?!

After some grumbling he looks pretty happy, right?

These gardening gloves were in my Easter basket. This picture cracks me up because I look like such a dork:)

- Ran/walked Bloomsday, a 12K race in 1.5 hours. This was a huge accomplishment for me, especially since I hate running:)

- Installed sprinklers on our house in Spokane (one the worst jobs ever!)

- Attended Matt and Abbeys' wedding in June at Farragut State Park, Idaho.  Patrick was a groomsman in the wedding.

- Road trip to California 2006!

Attended the wedding of Brent and Cori Mustin. Brent is a really good friend of mine from college

Spent some time in Santa Barbara

Celebrated my 26th birthday at Six Flags Magic Mountain. So fun!

- Erik and Denise visited us in Spokane, which was the first of many more times that the four of us would hang out together.

- Began my summer job in July taking care of a little girl named Addison. So fun!

- Another huge accomplishment - grass! Sounds silly, but our yard in Spokane was definitely a labor of love.

- Celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary on July 30th.  This has been the best year of my life!

On our wedding day - cheers to another great year for us!

Cutting our anniversary cake (the top layer of our wedding cake from a year ago)

- Went skydiving for our one-year anniversary. One of the best and craziest things I have ever done!

We survived!

-Attended the wedding of Brandon and Deanna, my brother and now sister in-law, in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The beautiful bride!

The happy couple

- Patrick was offered a job in Seattle in August and we began preparations for a move back to the Seattle area.  This decision to move was the best decision we have made in a really long time. We don't regret it one bit.

Spokane house - For Sale. It was so sad to say goodbye to our first home together.

- Saw Dave Matthews and OAR in concert at the Gorge Ampitheatre in September

- Saw John Mayer and Sheryl Crow in concert with Erik and Denise

- September 30th: the move back to Seattle!  We found a tiny one-bedroom condo to rent in Lakeland Hills

- Celebrated Patrick's 27th birthday in Sun Valley, Idaho with Brandon and Deanna

-  October 30th: made an offer on a new home, which was accepted!

- Hosted Thanksgiving 2006

My parents and brother Brent

- December 9-10: moved into our new house!

- Accepted my first seasonal job working at REI

- Our little Roary, my how he has grown! He has brought many laughs and smiles to our home throughout the year.

Then - he was just a little over two months old

Now - crazy as ever!

Hope all of you had a great 2006! Wishing you an even better 2007!
