Euro 2008
So the last three weeks we had an European Soccer Championship called the Euro 2008. It took place in Austria and Switzerland. The German Team made it to the final, and while I'm usually no Soccer fan at all, every time there is the European Championship or the World Championship i get sucked in and spent my evenings watching soccer on TV. I don't even have any Sport channels programmed on my TV, so for me this is huge!!
Sadly our team just lost the finale against the Spanish team. They won 1 goal to 0 goals. But it could have easily been 3 or 4 goals for them. They were way better and our team didn't stand a chance. They were even close to scoring a goal. So I'm a little sad, that we didn't win, but on the other side, i had three great weeks, sitting in front of my TV, cursing, shaking and yelling.
So my thanks go out to our National Team! And congratulation to the Spanish Team, they were really very good!
