Writer's Block: I Can Relate

As terrible as this may sound, Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment. I haven't killed anyone, but I often go through the same mental debates about the role that the intellectually gifted should play in society--do the smart ones have a right to create justice when the system fails to do so? Is it even possible for that to happen, or will the system cover it up, pretend nothing happened, and prevail in the end.

I need to read this book again. Last (and only) time I did, it was under much duress, and I don't think I absorbed it as well as I could have.
