everybody...pray, or whatever you do to whoever you do it to, for james' family. they've been through enough already, and james being sick isn't something they should have to deal with, but i guess we don't really know why things happen the way they do.

it's weird how these things always put your life back in perspective.

I may have the story completely wrong, so someone please correct me if I do. I heard that his white blood cell count went dangerously low, which would mean that he's fighting something bad off and that it may be leukemia.

it is leukemia. but it's treatable, so he'll have to just keep going to the doctor the rest of his life.

Why is it always people like James who have horrible things happen to them. He is seriously one of the nicest people I have ever met. Why does this always happen?

i know it. i think, though, that god is going to use his life in amazing ways. he's planning on being a preacher, and this disease will definitely provide him with a different perspective and possibly make him understand more clearly the situations of those he counsels in the future. it will be a struggle, but james is so strong.

oh yes, and he was at church yesterday, looking much better! so, that's great news.

yeah, i was thinking about that, too. because there are those people that are like, "yeah, *insert preachers name* can talk about trusting in God through rough times, but how can he really know?? he hasn't gone through it..." etc. (because there are some people out there like that), but james actually will be able to speak from experience.
