i figured out that checking accounts are a lot easier to deal with if you don't use checks.

oh no, they're like a MILLION times harder to deal with if you just use the check card. i'll lose receipts and stuff won't show up online. atleast if i write a check the duplicate is right there and i can't forget about it.
