honestly, this little boy dog goes out of his way to roll in mud, jump in puddles, and attach various twigs and leaves to his fur. I have given him 4 (!!!!) baths in the two weeks we've had him. (because, really, I have no desire to curl up with a smelly, dusty puppy.) I don't think any of my little girls were quite so filthy

My parents dog, who I grew up with, is a house-dog only, for the most part. He doesn't like going very far from home, so he mostly hangs out on the deck. The thought of constantly dealing with messy/wet dog is a little frightening to me, actually.
