A general update
Have had a very good month LRP wise, Alone 4 was fantastic, and the M&M player event this weekend was also fantastic (although I say so myself). I was concerned that the lecture format might not work, that people wouldnt want to be involved in the lectures, etc, etc, but my concerns were unfounded and it was a great success. The site was amazing, the catering was brilliant, the people were incredibly flexible and tolerant. I would rate Eyam Youth Hostel as A++++*: would definitely use again. Only minor downsides as a site are the pay bar meaning you arent supposed to bring your own booze, and the lack of linear space. However, this didnt affect M&M as it was a player event, and the bar is not unreasonably priced anyway.
I shall miss M&M after the final event in April. I havent played another game that is quite so absorbing. Even Artificer (which I still miss) wasn't *quite* as absorbing.
Grrr aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh, grrr. Still got too much on, can't catch up with myself. Plus the excrement really hit the air con whilst I was enjoying myself at M&M, but in a 'did they even read this information?' way. Really looking forward to handing over old job to concentrate on new one, but feeling slightly guilty that I'm handing over a bit of a mess. I have however picked up loads of areas that need review.
Bored of Christmas already and it hasnt even started. Its nearly 3 bloody weeks until Christmas. Or to put it another way, it's only 3 weeks and I havent bought pressies yet, mainly because I don't have a clue. David has his main present, he was wearing it at M&M. Luckily its only my parents and the hounds and hounds are easy.
Humbug anyone?
