New Mexico/Arizona/Utah/Nevada ChaCha - 2/27/22
2/27/22 - Driving through the desert and we spotted this bald eagle out in the middle of nowhere. He had a crossbeak deformation but he seemed to be in decent shape and is a mature adult with all his white feathers.
We off-roaded the Diamond and drove all the way down to Diamond Beach. This is the only spot in the entire Grand Canyon that you can drive down to river level at and you need tribal permission to do so.
I met my first scrub jay.
And I don't know what this thing is but I took a picture of it. I spotted it last time we were down there and always regretted not taking a pic of it.
