She was so caught up in wondering how she was supposed to get back to London from Aberdeen with no money that it was a while before she noticed that he'd gotten the date wrong as well as the location.
She must have been missing for years. Even when she did somehow mange to get back home she'd have no flat, no friends, maybe no family.

She'd had a fair idea of who Sarah Jane Smith would be without the Doctor. But as for who Sarah Jane Smith would be without journalism, of that she had no idea.
