Oh my, how beautiful and sad! It definately makes sense and how inventive to have Andrea as SJ's first love and making the connection with Wormwood's red hair. I love how you've woven her experiences at Uni, and with the Doctor and Harry into her history too.

My favourite line: "They never leave her completely. She had the Doctor’s dog and Harry’s ring and Mrs Wormwood’s child and a life that Andrea might have lived."

I'm glad you like that line by the way, it was actually the first thing that came to me and I made a story around it, which I don't normally do, I just had this thought of a ring as a symbol of marriage and a dog and a child, sort of symbolic of a normal life - all a normal life that Andrea could lead. I think that was why I was worried about the whole thing sounding barmy on page!
