I dunno, it just feels like they wouldn't bring the Doctor into unless it was going to be the final series. Just a feeling, to be honest.

Hope that's not true, otherwise, if the rumour about TW S3 also being the last is true, it'll mean only DW is continuing. Unless RTD/the Beeb are planning a new spin-off (UNIT: Defenders of Earth).

But my God, I'd be all over a UNIT spin-off epecially if it was set in the seventies

I'd settle for a UNIT spin-off with Sir Alistair as an advisor (along with Sarah Jane occasionally doing things for them) - and some of the characters from the UNIT audio series involved as well (I really want to see Brig Chaudhry on screen), plus Dr Martha Jones, and not-dead-Ross Jenkins!
