Hello! I think I must be in a philosophical mood, because I feel like commenting--I hope you don't mind! So, yeah, I don't think I've tended to react to "inspirational tales" by becoming motivated. I definitely don't seek them out specifically to read or listen to. Although, having said that, I have used images/stories to help me through things, and that could be direct or indirect. (I mean, you know, thinking of Kelly's fortitude in "A Room With a Rack" can keep one going. Or, perhaps, its thinking of Scotty's strength in that.) What one finds inspirational is unique to one's self, isn't it

These days, I have this mental image of you singlehandedly beating down every last member of the Supreme Military Council and the Muslim Brotherhood to give utter freedom to every last man, woman and child in Egypt, doing away with the veil and distributing the proceeds of decades of government corruption so that every Egyptian has three-point-seven million dollars in the bank, and then composing and conducting a new National Anthem.
In the interview on the news, you're seen saying, "I'm such a miserable failure, I should have played the basoon part in the Anthem myself!"
Honestly, how about cutting yourself a break, and accepting that we all have failures, and none of those failures actually topples nations. It's okay to be human and fall short from time to time, and if you want to do better, it's up to you to do it?
But, what do I know? My brain is made of meat, too.
