grrr advertising

i *hate* door to door advertising bags. we tend to get a large number of them here for some reason (bags with coupons and catalogs and such), and it's getting worse lately... today was a bit nuts even by those standards though.
today I received three phone books and 14 (!) sears catalogs, as well as a local newpaper in a bag hung on my door. gah. i end up throwing out/recycling *so much stuff* because of this...
