I'll be 41 years older than I am now!
First off, thank all of you guys for your Birthday wishes and messages! Love ya!
It was a pretty good day. Didn't start off that good, I was in a bit of a downer mood, the first time actually that I was depressed it was my birthday. You guys already know the deal, my life going nowhere, that thing, but then I picked up out of it and the day went better.
We went to Sweet Tomatoes to eat, that is one of my all time favorite places. We drove through Richardson, to get to Addison, which is where the restaurant was....Laurel, I saw Richardson High School...um, please tell me there is only one, and that I saw where you and...ahem, *cough*Jensen*cough* went. :D
After eating we went across the street to the Petco because we needed to get crickets for my sister's frogs, and frozen pinkies for our snake. We also got some stuff for Vincine, new perches and toys and stuff. Oh ya and I got two rats!
I wasn't even planning on getting rats for a long time, but there were these two there that came up to see me and yawned in my face, and I fell in love. As did my mom, and so when I saw her and my day sneak off to look at cage sets I knew I was getting them.
My mom said it wasn't what she had in mind to get me for my birthday, but that was ok. I told her it wasn't what I had in mind either, and she wanted to know what I thought I was getting....I told her that I had no idea, but that it sure wasn't more critters.
We got them a nice cage setup that had stuff included like food, bedding, water bottle, toy and chew bits. All for like $60some, it was pretty awesome. The rats themselves are little females, not full grown yet, and I named them the night I got them. The black and white hooded one is Pixie, because she is very curious and energetic, flighty, and all over the cage. The chocolate hooded one is Neala (Knee La) Just because I like it, and I think it sounds woodsy and like a faerie name. They are both so sweet, and I can't wait until they get a bit more used to me, and sit still while I try to hold them.
We drove back to Terrell, to our Walmart, because we took two cars, so that my mom and sister could do sekrit shopping while my dad and I went home. I got to drive the Volvo there, as well as the day before!!!!! O.o So then I got to also drive to Home Depo because we needed pipe stuff for the sink. I took the box with the rats into the store because I didn't want to leave them alone in the hot car. Nobody even noticed until we went to check out, and this woman asked if I had a pet in the box.....I mean it DID say Petco on it, but she was like a mind reader or something. I told her yes, and she looked a little scared as to what it was, so I told her they were rats, and she almost freaked. And said she was about to run away, and didn't want to see them. She then went onto telling us that she was afraid of all rodents and lizards and pretty much anything I suspect. She was hoping that I was going to say it was a small puppy............huh...ya ok. O.O That must be a pretty fucking small puppy. We laughed and pretended to be amused and said goodbye, but then after we left we made fun of her. XD
I drove us home, and my mom and sister we're back yet, so I set up the rat's home. They got home just as I was finishing up, and I was told to stay out of stuff.....pfft, like I was some two year old.....I don't even know where they would get the idea that I would be snooping...;D No seriously, my sister sure, me, I always prefered to be surprized.
After they took care of stuff, a little later they called me into my parent's room for...dun dun dun TEH BDAY STUFF! I walked in and there was instantly a flash....you'll get to see that horrible picture in a little bit...*eek* Anyway my sister gave me her gift first. It was in a really pretty Tinkerbell gift bag with a silk flower on it. She gave me a card, and then also more construction paper, which is always needed, and then butterfly stickers, an Ariel pez, a five pack of Matchbox cars, and one Hot Wheels, and a new poster of Mr. Depp. Then my mom handed me a card, and I opened it, and the front said "From Both of Us" when I opened it, I squeaked a little, and then turned to spazily/happily crying, which is what my sister did for HER birthday when she was given a signed copy of Alan Alda's book. I was crying though, because inside were tickets to the Avril Lavigne concert on the 26th of April. I have loved that chick for YEARS, pretty much since she started. I had mentioned once that she was going to be here in concert, but they didn't really say anything, and I didn't want to really ask, because there was the Frightmare deal. I heard the tickets sold out fast, and so I didn't bring them up again. I was just so surprized that they remembered I liked her, they told me they got the tickets months ago. They are pretty good seats too, we are in row X in the first section. There are two huge sections, divided into like three parts, and then the lawn seating all the way in the back....which by that point...why bother? My sister likes her too, but is more excited about the fact that Boys Like Girls are opening for her.
Then my mom gave me another card, and inside she had written "I know life has gotten off to a slow start, but don't worry, you'll catch up" Which almost made me cry again, but that time it wasn't from being excited. My card happened to match the plates and napkins she got, that had daisies and a LADYBUG! :D
Then we took pics of the rats, since they were one of my gifts, and then it was cake time. It is a very delicious Tres Leche Cake with strawberry topping. My mom forgot to get candles, so she had me get one of my huge uncented white ones. :)
That was pretty much it, except for taking more pics of the rats, I went to bed.
Following under a cut will be pictures.
Before that though. My sister and I watched "Across the Universe"....FUCK that movie is awesome! And I already thought Jim Sturgess was hot, and I've like Even Rachel Wood for awhile now....but I have found a new potential obsession.....JOE ANDERSON! I mean seriously, look at that guy, feckin' gorgeous! Ok, onto the pics....
The feet that make appearences in some of the pics belong to my dad, just an fyi.
Ya, there's that first pic. Yikes, I thought I looked a lot thinner than that! Oh, well, working on, and doing fine, so all is we.....*sobs*
Try not to pay to much attention to how I look in the rest of these.
My kick ass bag......envy me!
My first card.
That's some pretty sexy candy. Yum!
*hides* OMG, look at that face I made.....and my mom like usual was magically able to capture it. Ya, that's when I saw the tickets.
I was crying/laughing so hard I couldn't even read the card.
My mom just thinks these are hysterical! :\
Matching=Love
The girls were not cooperating.
Rat Palace.
My tasty cake.
Nobody had ever say I'm a coward.....I mean look at these pics I'm displaying for all to see over the net!!
I was holding my candle blowing pose for the picture, and my sister was taking forever with the camera so I almost started laughing, because I knew I looked rediculous.
So much pretty in one corner.....I had to make a space for him on the other wall.
Just something I made out of plushie roses I got from Dollar Tree, and my gay Peacock, Francois.
My cars. I really like my red '69 Dodge Coronet. And then in the FivePack my favs are, the black '70 Pontiac GTO, and the orange '69 Chevy Camaro
Here are the tickets. I tried to sharpen them up some, but it didn't really work, you can hardly tell what they say.
The rest are the rats....
I made them each a name tag.
I hope that wasn't too many. Though I have done picspams in a looong time.
Hope you guys enjoyed.
Love,
Sarah
