Why does art always look cooler in a Moleskine notebook? *_*
Maybe because notebook art is fun & portable & spontaneous. It's never going to hang on your wall or go in your portfolio, so the notebook becomes a work of art in itself. And since the pages are bound, your art has to be fearless--unless you want to rip the page out, you're stuck with what you've made.* "Messing up" becomes part of the process; you just have to keep going.
If you're as susceptible to art-in-notebooks as I am,
'Skineart (a site dedicated to art drawn in Moleskine notebooks) will make you very, very happy. ^.^
*I have weird notebook superstitions. I hate to have something stupid on the first page of a nice notebook, so I'll usually start writing in the back of the book until it's "broken in." Um, this is why I use cheap notebooks most of the time. Because I'm insane.
