I don't have much to say but not in a bad way.

I DID promise Megan that I'd "blog about" the woodpecker we saw this morning. We heard it, then stared at the tree for 3 minutes until he pecked again and we spotted his movement. I haven't seen many (if any) woodpeckers around these parts in my 9 years here... It was nice.

my woodpecker story:

so over the summer kevin was outside tearing up our yard AGAIN and i was inside baking getting ready for a show..but would occasionally come outside to check up on him..every time i came out..i'd hear this crazy noise..and every time i heard it i'd ask kevin what it was..i can't remember what he told me it was..first he said he didn't hear it..then it was the stand by "i don't know!" so this went on ALL day..so the last time..now HOURS later..i keep looking everywhere to figure out the noise..and i spot it..a woodpecker, pecking at our neighbor's HOUSE!! it was the funniest thing..about 5 minutes after i saw it..it left..but it left behind a HUGE hole..i'm talking the size of a baseball, right into their wood siding!! kevin and i laughed..well..a few days went by..then finally the neighbor figured out he had this crazy hole in the side of his house and put some of that spray foam in it! so..that next weekend when kevin was working outside again..we looked over, the woodpecker was back and made the hole even larger! HA HA HA!
