ArtBeat!

Hiiiiiiiiii.
I'm exhausted.
I had a very eventful weekend and not nearly enough sleep.

Friday night was filled with finishing a bunch of stuff for the impending ArtBeat.

All the EggAGoGo stuff ready to go.
Saturday Jen picked me up at 8 and we were off to Somerville.
It was really nice to see everyone in the flesh.  Turnout was good but my table received lots of browsers and not so many buyers. I did alright, sold a bit but it could have been better. Maybe summertime isnt the right time for pillows.

I didnt get a chance to take pictures of everyone's tables but here are those of
limelady and
coffee_drinker
everybody's stuff looked  great and i'm really sad that i didnt get more of a chance to shope around than i did... jennycakez and i wandered a little but it was sooooooooooooo extra hot that we spent most of our time under the tent or strolling to Diesel for lemonade or raspberrylimerickies. yummy.
AND!!! Almost everything that didnt sell went to the Magpie store in Davis Sq!!! Thanks Magpie!

LOTS MORE ON FLICKR

Sunday I spent with Mark.  We got up early and went to see Pirates! (Which i thought was TOTALLY AMAZING - I want to see it again while it's still in theaters but I'll probably wait a little while, as it is very long. If you like the ocean, you gotta see it!!!) FIVE STARS!!!!

I like this eel.

We had some lunch and then because Mark is quick to burn we decided to go see another movie - THE LEONARD COHEN MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was wonderful.  Lovely. Amazing. Fantastic. I cried a little. Mark napped a little (it was cool and dark and the music was soothing...).  I love it.  It was so nice to hear him talking about his music and his process and it was nice to see Nick Cave at a loss for words when talking about hearing Leonard's music for the first time.
The performances were perfect. Rufus Wainwright (who i'm not particularly familiar with) was phenominal and Anthony (apparently of Anthony and the Johnsons) who I'd never heard before was INCREDIBLE. Heartbreaking.
So many beautiful voices in one place.
One Million Stars!

Mark was getting a ride back to CT with some friends of his that were getting tattoos by Brian in Cambridge so we went out to the tattoo shop and hung out until they were done.

I got to play with the shop dog and see my friend Ben. It was nice.
Then I was on the train back to Quinky to resize my pictures, take a cool shower, crank up the a/c and flop into bed. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

How was YOUR weekend?
