My dad taught me how to drive by showing me how to follow the white lines on the side of the road. The key is not to look straight ahead anticipating dramatic turns and hills, but to watch for the curve of the road and align yourself with it's subtle movement. This ensures that you're always in the middle, you're never overcorrecting, and you're focusing on what is directly in front of you, letting the road lay itself out and responding to it as it does.

This is the best analogy for my life right now.
