And while I'm at it...

A life lived in fear is a life half lived.

I can safely say that I'm not afraid of dying in a terrorist attack. Any more than I'm afraid of dying by being hit by a drunk driver, or a bolt of lightening, or a plane crash. Those are realities of the world we live in, and so, unfortunately, is terrorism. If we run, if we hide, if we deny ourselves the freedom we are entitled to as citizens of the free world, then we've forfeited the battle.

I love this city. I'm not afraid.
