la nina is fun!

So I've been super busy as of late with this Oscars thing I've been doing for work. I think it's one of the (if not the) best things I've done in Flash.

Shameless Plug:
Interactive Oscars Presentation

*note* Be aware that this page is incorrect. It shouldn't have the header above or the google ad links below. It should be a simple black backgrounded page with a simple ad below, NOT impeding viewing. Hopefully that will be fixed somewhat soonish. Also, it requires Flash Player 8, download that here.

So yeah, I love it. Hope the viewers like it cause I worked on this for 2 solid weeks.

Who is LOVING the weather here in New England??? *raises hand energetically*
La Nina is apparently causing this fabulousness. Thanks! Although, I don't like your other side that's going to visit us this weekend. Booo. But I'll enjoy today!

On to other news, Wednesday was my birthday. I'm a quarter century old. You know how people usually ask the question, "do you feel any older?" Well, I haven't answered that question with a "yes" since I was 13, but this year, I'm feelin' it. Dunno why exactly. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I've now been out of school for a good chunk of time and (just maybe) has to do with the fact that I'm now married. I don't feel old persay, but just different, I guess. Anywho, my boss gave me flowers which were very pretty and my co-worker got me the new Wallace and Grommit DVD which is just so great. Jared took me out to a really good churrascaria called "Green Field" on Brighton Ave. for dinner. He got me a really fun Family Guy figure (Brian's cousin, Jasper) and a jam-jacket for my Zen. We're going to my parents' this weekend to see the rest of my family for birthday cake and pizza. It'll be fun.

Valentine's Day, since it's right before my birthday, is always a bust for me. Jared got me a really fun "I <3 My Geek" t-shirt (you can tell how serious we get about this "holiday") and some very pretty flowers. We did Valentine's Day dinner at Kowloon on Rt.1 (yummmm) on Monday to avoid not being able to get a table and also avoiding all the drooling women that use this holiday to exploit expensive gifts off their sig-others. So many diamonds commercials, ugh. Anyway, I got him some H*R DVDs. That'll be fun to watch.

I'm knitting again. I haven't done it since last winter when I finally honed my skills to an acceptable level. I'm attempting a hat for Jared. Made the first one. It was a bit big and a bit too short, BUT it was, in fact, a HAT! Now I'm almost done the second and once I switched to the DPNs, Jared put it on his head, MUCH BETTER. I'll be finishing it tonight and hopefully it really will be wearable this time. As for the other too big hat, it fits my head when I have bushy hair days, so I'll use it from time to time. I also bought ridiculously soft chenille-like yarn so I can make a scarf (possible hat) for me. It's very relaxing.

Besides that, haven't really been up to much. Still haven't started looking into buying a house/condo. Should probably really start that soon. Still haven't gotten our Wedding Video, grrr. Should be getting a CD full of album pages for me to edit/approve. It'll be nice when all the Wedding stuff is finally done.

So yeah, as you can tell, since we have Monday off and the Oscar's thing is done, I'm pretty much just waiting on work today. It'll be a good quiet day me-thinks.
