goin' to the chapel...

ok, not a chapel, but a really really nice tudor style turn of the century luxury hotel/apartment complex :) AND I'M GONNA GET MARRIED!!! Ugh. I am 24 and I'm getting married on Sunday. When the hell did that happen?! Today is the first day of our vacation. I'm off from today until Oct. 2nd. My first day back at work is Oct. 3rd. SOOOOOO sweet. I need this time off desperately. I haven't done anything but work/plan/design/print/etc. for the past 6-8 months and I'm DONE. I have nothing to do! And it's never ever felt so good.

I got my first manicure and pedicure today. I will definitely not be making a habit out of it. I already chipped like 4 of my fingernails. 2 of them are completely messed up because I really really had to go to the bathroom like right after they were "dry." Oh well. I have to go to walgreen's later on to get cards anyway, so I'll buy one of those cheap french manicure kits and fix the 2 messed up fingers. I can definitely live w/o the manicure, however, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I didn't like the pedicure. They sat me in this wonderfully cushy chair that had a mini-foot tub with jets. So I place my feet in the tub and I'm instantly relaxed. Then the wonderful woman doing my pedicure (and ultimately manicure) asks, "would you like a back massage?" I'm like, uhhhhhhh, yeah? And she turns the wonderfully cushy chair to vibrate and heat. *le sigh* OMG, she spent 45 minutes catering to my feat. Rubbing, scrubbing, moisturizing and THEN she started the pedicure. Simply fabulous. I may have to make that a semi-regular occurance. My feet are so soft and I can actually feel my heels. HA.

While I was being pampered, Jared dropped off the out of town bags for the hotel. Then he went to Longwood and dropped off the wedding stuff we need to have there on Sunday. WE HAVE A LIVING ROOM AGAIN!!! Aahhahahahaha. I haven't been able to see the floor of this LARGE room in a month. My wonderful parents were up last weekend doing manual labor :) - they asked if we needed help cleaning, I will never turn down help with cleaning. Mom went NUTS. She was scraping paint off of our hardwood floors that the FORMER tenants put there :P. But this place is looking really good. The only cleaning I have left to do is swiffer all the floors and re-dust the major furniture and then attempt to pick up the front bedroom now that we have more room.

I need to practice my makeup tonight since I refuse to have a makeup artist do it when I can do it better and cheaper myself. I made my necklace. My nails (god I sound like such a girl) are done. My hair is cut. Jared's hair is cut. I have all the under-stuffs I need for my wedding dress. The only thing that's scaring me a little bit is the weather forcasts. Yesterday they were saying Sunday was going to be Sunny and 80 and now today it's saying it's going to be raining and hi-60s, fairly big difference.

I'm sleepy. This planning stuff has made me very tired. I'm ready. Reality still isn't actually setting in. Like I don't realize that THIS Sunday I will be MARRIED. I will no longer be single (not that I've been single for quite some time, but still) and I'll be having the biggest party of my life. Then 3 days later, I'll be in ARUBA. Dear God I need a vacation. I need to GO AWAY. I've never left this country and I'm getting anxious. It's not Italy or Ireland, but it's still foreign and will be QUITE relaxing. I plan on being the biggest beach bum evah!

I'm pretty sure this will be my last entry before the wedding, sooooooo, yeah. See you on the other side ;)
