mmm....paint
Ok, so last night we finished painting our bedroom. Very basic, white ceilings - white walls. We won't be there longer than a year at this point, so we figured why bother with going all out for someone else to live in it in a year. Now, as all my designer friends will no doubt understand, it hurts. It physically causes me pain to not be able to design the room I'll be in for the next year. I love paint, I love colors. I love the idea of taking a room and making it look totally different just by adding colors. So anyway, last night we finished up all the touchups and cleaned up the paint splatters. We sit on the couch to relax for a bit before bed and a commercial comes on for Behr paint's Color Smart site (here), which I have used many times before. The commercial was very visual and showed the animated remodel of different rooms going from blah to bright and designed. I was watching intently of course because, come on, I'm a designer and it was designing. Then the commercial ends and I look over at Jared who's staring at me. I say, "what?" and he responds with one of THE best comments to ever come out of his mouth, "I can hear your brain drool when that stuff comes on."
Yup, yup he can. It's quite loud and obvious :) I love paint.
