"What the hell is wrong with you?!" she screams once they arrive on her front porch. She's been silent the entire trip back from the party, and Ethan's suddenly grateful Alexis and Molly are in New York for the weekend. "He didn't do anything wrong!"
"He was all over you!" Ethan yelled back, balling his fists in an attempt to control the anger and adrenaline rushing through him.
"He was my date Ethan, and it was a party!" Kristina sighed in frustration, running her hands through her hair (a trait, he had noticed, she had picked up from him). "Are you out of your mind?"
"He had no right to touch you like that." he practically growled, the memory of that...boy with his hands on Kristina's waist, pulling her closer and moving to kiss her...
"Did you ever think that maybe I wanted him to do that? At least he lets me know that he likes me! At least he doesn't assault the guys I go out with!"
"He deserved it!" Ethan knew it was almost as lame as 'he started it,' but truthfully he didn't have anything else.
"You know what? I'm going to bed. And then I'm going to call Liam in the morning and somehow explain why my oh-so-platonic best friend punched him in the face." Kristina replied, rummaging through her purse for her keys.
The force with which Ethan ran into her sent her purse scattering to the floor, her phone, lipgloss, and keys rolling across the deck as he pinned her against the door, his lips crashing onto hers. They'd kissed before, if you could count that night in her living room, but it was nothing like this. Ethan's hands roamed her entire body, as if he was trying to memorize every inch, his lips never leaving hers Her hands reached up to the back of his head, her fingers tangling in his hair as she attempted to pull him even closer. All too soon, he pulled away, resting his forehead on hers. Their breaths came in heavy pants, mingling with the humid night air.
"I don't...like...the idea of another man...touching you." It seemed to pain Ethan to say those words, and Kristina knew it was his way of admitting his feelings for her. A triumphant, happy smile appeared on her face.
"I knew it." she said before pulling him back down to her.
