"He was an energetic young man who was loved by many and will be missed by all. Wes was in his senior year at Forest Park High School where he was actively involved in the music program including the Forest Park Marching Bruin Band, the Wind Ensemble and the Platinum Choir. He was an accomplished musician who played Rock, Jazz & Blues. He was a longtime member of the Spriggs Road Jazz Band and played at local clubs with the band "Hilikus". He received the Louis Armstrong Award in recognition of his musical talent and was recognized as an outstanding soloist in several regional competitions. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where he has participated in the Mission team trip for the past four years."
