1. What made you decide to pursue a career in music?
Well, like Erin I want to get my maters in music therapy, so I am getting my recommended bachelors in music education. I love music. It is my life and my passion.  I think I have always wanted to do something with music.
2. If you could travel to any time in the past, to when would you go?
I would go back to my early childhood. I had a great childhood. I would love to see my grandma again. I miss her.
3. If you had the chance to write a novel, what would it be about?
Hmm....I hate writing. But, if I had the chance to write a novel, I would probably write an nonfiction novel about things that have happened to me in my life.
4. What was the single most surprising and shocking moment (either good or bad) in your life?
The single most shocking moment in my life happened the week of band camp my sophomore year of high school. It was the Friday of the first week of band camp, Aug. 6, 1999, 5 days after my 15th bday. Most of the band was going to go to Peter Piper Pizza for a band party.  I needed to run home forst, so my momma came a picked me up. We got home and my mom went back outside to the back yard. Then a few minutes later the phone rang. I answered.  It was the hospital. They asked for my mom so I called for her to come get the phone.  She picked up and they told her that my dad had burned himself at work and she needed to go down there. She told me to call a friend to come get me to go to PPP and she would be back in a little bit with my dad. I get to PPP and sit next to the director and we are all talking. I get a page over the intercom saying I have a phone call. It was my aunt. She said she was on her way to get me because dad's burns were really bad. Dinah, my aunt, came and got me, we swung by my house to get Amy and then headed to the hospital. We get there and there are people from his work there and some of their families. Mom came out and talked to us. She said that they were going to have to take dad to UNM burn unit on a plane and his boss on the helicopter. She told us there was a chemical explosion and dad was seerely hurt. His hand had been blown apart and he had been burned over 80% of his body. The doctors weren't going to let us in, but one of the paramedics, a close family friend said she would go in there with us and help us understand what was happening. So one at a time we went in there. I went first. It was so hard. I got in there and I instantly start crying. Daddy was still awake at this time.It was horrible. He was in so much pain. I held his right hand and he looked me straight in the eye and said " I am coming back I promise. I love you. Take care of Amy and Scotty. Be there for them. I love you." I still remember those words. After we have all been to see daddy they load him into an ambulance. They take him and his boss Dan to the airport were there is a Life Flight plane and helicopter waiting for them.......for you people from Alamo, this happened before the new hospital was built, so we didn't have a helipad.  My family, including my dad's sis and Dinah all get a call saying there is a flight to Alb that we have to take right away. We have to get to Alb asap. That was the longest freaking flight of my life......felt way longer than the flight to Germany....We arrive in Alb safely...thank God. We have to wait in the waiting room for a while. They come out and tell us that Dan, my dad's boss hs just passed away and they don't think daddy is going to make it either.  So we all pray and more and more family is showing up.  After a few days, all of my dad's organs are starting to fail. The doctors really don't believe he will make it. Dinah and Douggie, her husband, are now are official caregivers while my parents are in Alb. They drive us to Alb every Sunday and drive us home every Sunday night. We lived with them for about 3 months. My dad went through 5 or 6 skin grafts to patch the holes he had in his left armm shoulder, and stomach.  Most of them took. After 3 months or so, daddy came home. He is fine now.....still has a few problems, his left hand will never completely work again. But we can live with that.
5. If you could choose any one person in the history of the earth and ask them a single question, who would you choose and what would you ask?    I would ask my dad's other boss, Terry, who was on vacation when this happened, why he didn't use the $5000 the city gave him for a new tank to store these chemicals to buy a new tank. If he would have bought that new tank, NONE fo this would have happened. We don't know what happened to that money.
Sorry #4 was so long....I just started typing and all of the sudden I had all this stuff written.
