Oooh long time no post...

Woops, it's been like three weeks since I last said anything. Well, in my defence, I've been busy, ill and then on holiday lol.

After the snow cleared (all to quickly for my liking!) it was back to work as usual. But the team was dropping like flies due to illness. Tuesday 13th February saw what was left of the team at work at 7.15am (yes, OUCH!). We were launching a new Relationships programme for Year 9s, over at Greendown. It's called Lush. We're hoping to get it introduced as part of the curriculum across Swindon. So we were launching the first section, for the first time, to 300 year nines on a chilly Tuesday morning. It was memorable! Everything went well, and the follow up lessons since then (which I haven't had a chance to join in with yet) have been REALLY well received, so it's looking good. And the moring's work was all worth it, when we sat down with a nice cooked brekkie in Weatherspoons for our team debrief :)

One Wednesday I trundled my way off to Cambridge to look round. And to cut a very long, detailed story short, as of September I will be studying in Cambridge :)

However, the week took a sharp turn downhill from there. I'd managed to come down with some gross flu thing, so upon returning to Swindon I became a completely useless, exhausted bag of emotions lol. I was dragging myself to work and then going straight home to sleep at the first available opportunity. However, by some miracle, with the rest of the team suffereing too (and minus Chantelle who was home ill), we not only managed to do a pretty good Live & Loud event, but also a four night long 24/7 prayer room. The prayer room got off to a shakey start, for the first two nights we had no young people as organisation had gotten a little screwed along the way, with Chantelle being ill. But as of Sunday we started getting quite a few yps through, and it turned out fantastic in the end. I'll put up photos later!

After that was all done with I headed off home for a few days for half term. It was unbelievably welcome! It feels like a VERY long time since Christmas!

This Monday and Tuesday, Chantelle and I were up in Birmingham for some Evangelism Training. It was interesting and useful stuff, and alos a complete laugh with everybody.

Wednesday it was back to the grind stone. There's a mission going on in one of the near by schools so Simon and I stopped by there yesterday lunch time before heading off to Headlands to do a bit of detached. Those guys are seriously fantastic.

Todays pretty normal on the scale of things. Had a good assembly this morning at Crowdys Hill. But have managed to day dream my way through about an hour this morning here in the office because of the early start lol. But tommorow's looking to be pretty exciting. Chantelle and I are launching a second lunch club at Hreod for the Year 7 and 8 guys. I'm really excited to see what will happen with this. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. In some ways I feel we're being a bit mad by taking on another thing, but at the same time, I do think this could have a great response. And a load of my Church yps are there so hopefully this will be good for them, and another place for me to get to know them better!! Watch this space!

I'm aiming to get my prayer letter written this week *fingers crossed* So hopefully that'll be winging it's way to you pretty soon. Hope you're all well :) Please do get in touch whenever!
