the vagaries of weather
i'm looking out my office window and see some fluffy white clouds and blue sky, yet was forced to cancel my flight today because of thunderstorms. there is an insidious one lurking 30 miles to the southwest that apparently extends up to 33000 ft and includes hail, and is slowly heading this way, on track to pass directly over the airport in about two hours. right when i'd be heading in for my last approach. so yeah, no flying for me today, but it is peculiar that the cancellation is being made while it is totally vfr out. bah.
wednesday is supposed to be better, though. and hopefully thursday afternoon will be too--the boy and i are flying ourselves to toronto for a long weekend of home-cooked food from my aunties, a jaunt to the theater to see my brother perform in riverdance, and hopefully a dim sum gorge-fest in toronto's chinatown.
