Well, it's not much, but it's a start. I've finally put together a pattern for my
Christmas Dalek bookmark. You can find the pattern
over here, if you're interested.
It's a silly thing, but I really do love it.
There will actually be more new things in the not-too-distant future. For the past three months I've had a full-time internship sucking away my time (who knew working all day meant less free time?), so I haven't had a chance to work on anything new. I've been dying to start some new projects, though. And now I have one that's almost finished! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, and I'm looking forward to posting it. It will have to wait until the end of August, though. I made this design for someone and I don't want them stumbling upon it until I have a chance to give it to them. But after that, I'll be posting it here and in
my store. And then I can work on MORE designs!
...Well, maybe. At the moment I'm using my free time to work on a commision based on
8-Bit Theater and to build up a giant stockpile of bookmarks to donate to
Desert Bus. I won't ramble on about that charity event right now (and some of you have already heard more than enough from me on the subject), but I urge you to check it out in November. It's a bunch of geeks having fun, giving away prizes, and auctioning off some amazing fan-made crafts. Oh, and playing
the most boring game ever created for 24-hour-long shifts. It's very entertaining and raises a pile of money for children's hospitals.
So we'll see how much I can get done before things get busy again in September. I'd like to get quite a few bookmarks done for Desert Bus, so as much as I want to work on new projects, this one takes priority. For the children!
Until then, have a progress picture of the 8-Bit bookmark:
