I love how spring just springs on you, oh ho ho ho. Seriously though, the trees are all "I'm brown bark, bitch" one day then "I have leaves, bitch" the next. The buds make trees look like they're dusted in green frosting. /end random thought of the day
Just finished exams today, wOot, not that studying really affected my life at all these past few weeks. I've been at home since the beginning of April, and this trip downtown for Friday is one of the very few mysterious appearances I've made to Toronto. My friend Aaron's been managing to drag me out of the country, simply because he's stupid and buys two tickets before checking to see if it's okay with me. In conclusion, I've gone to see the opera and the TSO presents Sinatra in the past couple of weeks. I also went fabric/bead hunting, bought jelly beans, "oh snap'd" at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, ate dutch apple pie ice cream, and zoned out at harbourfront. I've also found out I have food cravings equal to that of a pregnant woman, and I shouldn't be allowed to ever be rich, because I would make Roy Thompson Hall and the 41 piece symphony that plays in it, my bitch.
Out at home, things started out not so hawt. Had to put down my dog Shadow because her kidney disease had come too far along, which is suckage because she was one of the awesomest dogs to ever have lived/paticipated in foolish endeavours. Things have improved since though, the country is so relaxing, the air smells great, the creeks and ponds are full of fresh water, and the slopes leading down to creeks in the forest are full of delightful mud to slip and fall down on... =_=.
Last week was epic in that we temporarily adopted a turkey for the night. Sir Gobbleslot walked out of the ravine, right up to the back of out house, wandered to our front driveway, refused to be herded back to the ravine (gobbling angrily at us each time we tried), got overly interesting in me and started stalking me, thought the front door was the barn or something and waited in front of it patiently to be let in, jumped onto a bench so it could stare into our windows, disappeared for a while, and finally ended up on the roof of my father's truck where it roosted for the night. When the sun rose the next morning, Gobbleslot was gone. One other highlight was my cat Ember attempting to catch a bird on the balcony, oveshooting it, clinging for dear life to the railing, then falling like an ungraceful rock to the ground waiting to be let back in. You know, considering she's done that at least two or three other times in the past you'd think she's learn....
While these couple weeks of inactivity/country living have been nice, the restlessness is killing me, so next week will probably be the last week I'm there. Decided randomly two days ago that I should do summer courses, so I signed up and now I'll be taking a bunch o' classes for the summer months. Hoping to find a different job, possibly an internship for graphic design, and am now seriously getting ready to plan a two week trip to the martimes at the end of the summer for explorage, anyone interested? PEI is currently the cheapest alternative to Ireland, and the Newfoundland coast is awesomesauce.... you know you want to. ^.^
PS. Anime North soon , wOOt wOot! Must get cosplay/money stuff readys and start on the wishlist, I'll be your local friendly KH - Roxas, and Odin Sphere - Velvet (+corset) so huzzar. It's the happiest time of the year for Sarah-cakes. *dances*
