So a couple weeks ago, I hit the emerald isle for general good times and a week of touring.

the craic was 91, i'm glad to say.

lots of christy moore, lots of pogues, and singing in a pub in killarney hours after singing a capella in the mitchelstown caves. seeing hayseed dixie on a last minute ticket in galway. feck, was it good.

the best part of it all was that i felt exactly like i was home again in huron county where the towns are small and the people were friendly. except this time, everyone looked like me! hahaha.

here are some photos that are my favourites, anyways....

from Co. Cork....

i have kissed the blarney stone! it's a loooong way down.

taking in the views from the top of blarney castle.

from the day in Dingle:

i have conquored coomeenoole beach....apparently.

Dingle is BEAUTIFUL

Then on to co. clare....which should be narrated in song....
How's it goin' there, everybody
From Cork, New York, Dundalk, Gortahork and Glenamaddy.
Here we are in the County Clare and it's a long long way from here to there,

there's the burren

and the cliffs of moher,
the tulla, and the kilfenora,
miko russel, and doctor bill,
willy clancy and noel hill,
flutes and fiddles everywhere,
if it's music you want,

you should go to clare...."

"i stumbled into a fairy ring. Jaysus I couldn't get out. I was there for 3 days and 3 nights wanderin' roun' in circles like a lunatic...."

oh and connemara with its mountains deserves a photo here as well....

aside from that, there's now a video of my pub performance on youtube if you fancy a watch, it's here: www.youtube.com/watch
