As I drift into a careless sleep

Peacefully breathing in a breathless dream

I find myself captivated by thoughts of you;

My soul engulfed in your ocean’s blue.

Of memories so fond I dare not wake

For knowledge of reality my heart to break

And silently I slumber in hopes to find

A way to hold onto this love divine

But alas, my dreams no longer hold

As love’s crashing waves carefully unfold

The chance my heart could be misled in the end

But this love is a chance I’d take over again.
