Water is a refuge for me. I've come to realize this over the past few days. When I felt ill last weekend, I hopped in the shower and then later that night into a warm tub to make me feel better. Instead of hopping directly into bed to sink into an exhausted sleep, I've opted for the calm and contemplative zone of my bathtub. My morning showers are ( Read more... )

My sympathies to you Sarah on this most contemptible impasse. I've seen firsthand how inept the healthcare system is at longterm care for those over forty and not part of the government or the corporate elite. Getting a staph infection due to nurses doing their jobs incorrectly as a matter of practise, or something seemingly more innocuous like failing to schedule things in a timely fashion.
The system is stressed certainly, and in need of overhaul by someone more competent than politicians, but there's no need to tolerate the BS. My experience? Grit your teeth, hold fast to your compatriots, and become very good at being a pest to their crumbling beaurocracy. Remaining civil on your end, their only respite shall be to deal with you properly.
Enough of me trying to find a final solution to your problems, enough to say i'm pullin for ya.
