Looking forward...

After scoring a mini-job (which I am, admittedly, not very keen on...), I have now at least a little bit of that find-a-job-goddammit weight off my shoulders.
Of course I still need to look for a decent job, but this does, once I am settled in properly, at least give my the possibility to fend for myself and give my parents some money to pay for the food I eat.

Yet, I am looking forward to the 31st, when "Snow White and the Huntsman" will start playing in my local movie theater.

I had to take a little break from my male semi-cousins blanket, where I am crrently working on the black squares. Black is hard to crochet with for me, since you don't see well with it, and it is also kind of depressing. I don't have that problem while knitting with black yarn, though, which seems a little weird, even for me...
In order to take said break, I have gone back to working on my purply cardigan, which is gonna be absolutely lovely once it is finished. I am currently redoing the ribbing, since it ended up being way too short. I will double its length now. Then I will return to the shoulders, which will seemlessly move into the hood of the whole thing. Apart from the sleeves, I will not even have to weave in any ends, since the cardigan is going to be completely seamless. The ends in those places where I ahd to start a new ball of yarn will disappear when I do a ribbed rib around the hood and front part of it. This will have as many rows as the bottom ribbing and be quite an ordeal to knit...
After that, I will most likely go back to the black squares for my male semi-cousins blanket...
Then, I have some other projects to finish, and I am already quite itchy about starting a new one. This is because I absolutely fell in love with these socks, and want to knit them as soon as possible. Since I do not want my first attemt at serious sock-knitting to be absolutely disastrous, I might have to knit another pair first to practice. I will definetely use "Judy's Magic Cast-On", since it is not as complicated as I thought and I love the fact that it is completely invisible from both sides when done correctly...

For my birthday, I also received a gift of money making it possible for me to place a second birthday-order on amazon. It contained two books on psychology, a manga, and Isaac Marion's novel "Warm Bodies". I am now dying to read those books, but after already having devoured part of "Warm Bodies" as well as the Introduction and first two chapters of one of the psychology-books, I decided that I wanted to finish "The Hobbit" first. This will be hard for me, since once I am looking forward to reading something else, it always feels like I am making no progress at all with what I actually AM reading...

Now I will check on my facebook-accaount again and then watch "Golden Girls"...

Live long and prosper,
Sarah
