The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Good:
I have a job! I'll be doing fieldwork on species at risk in the lower mainland April 30 - end of August. It's four days/three nights in the field camping, which should be cool. Not sure what I'll decide to do for living accomodations though; it seems a little wasteful to rent a whole place just to use on the weekend? Maybe a lot of roadtrips is the answer?
The Bad:
My tonsils are still hurting. I can't quite function socially, so I will not be watching Models at Kerrisdale. Alasdair might be so you could check with him. Sorry to bail - next week though? I think it's when they go to an exotic destination...
The Ugly:
Pretty much me and my tonsils. They were huge, so taking them out has left huge tracts of swollen skin that needs to heal. Very painful. I've taken just under 50 T-3's in the last 5 days. I have to admit, when the doctors said it would be a 10-day recovery period, I really thought that because I was young and healthy I'd be healed faster (but it's day 5 now, and that has not happended yet). The worst was really after the anaesthetic though, it made me naseous, and then made me throw up, and you really don't want to have to throw-up when you've got a big mouth wound. Nasty.
