This was my favorite book that I read over vacation (thanks, thenextcentury !). Wes Moore (the author) is a decorated veteran and Rhodes scholar who grew up in similar circumstances as the other Wes Moore, who is serving life in prison for murder. Wes tells the story of both Weses growing up and how their lives diverged. Also, the other Wes Moore grew up in Baltimore and when he's arrested for his crime, he's hiding out in North Philly. In other words, if you love The Wire, you will love this book. If you don't love The Wire, well, what is wrong with you?
